Portrait of Dr. BuersmeyerPatricia Buersmeyer M.D. is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and an associate member in the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark in 1999. She was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and was awarded the American Medical Women’s Association Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement Citation for scholastic achievement.

After medical school, she completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City in 2002. Since residency she has been with the Saltzer Medical Group in Nampa, Idaho emphasizing the integration of Western and Eastern Medicine. In spring 2009, she anticipates having part of her practice based in Meridian, Idaho.

Patricia Buersmeyer M.D. grew up in Boise, Idaho. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with emphasis on Finance and Economics from the University of Washington, Seattle in 1985. Subsequently, she worked for approximately 10 years in the mortgage and information technology industries.

Her interests in medicine include preventative medicine and the integration of Western and Eastern Medicine to provide more choices in healthcare. Her comprehensive training in Eastern Medicine has included an extensive acupuncture training for physicians sponsored by the University of California Los Angeles School of Medicine and the Stanford University School of Medicine. Her education also includes Essential Chinese Herbal Medicine, Medical Acupuncture in Pain Management, Chinese Scalp Acupuncture and Five Elements Acupuncture.
